The ELINT Knowledge Base is a prototype of a analyst's knowledge base collaboration tool. It is intended to show the advantage of a shared knowledge log in expanding Electronic Intelligence knowledge across the community.
ELINT is also known as non-communications intelligence. ELINT is mostly concerned with RADAR systems on the land, sea, or air. Ground based systems may be a part of civilian aircraft guidance and control systems or military Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) systems. Shipborne systems may also be for navigation or for weapon guidance and control, and airborne systems may control any number of guidance or attack functions.
